Cleaning Tom’s pool screen and gutters

Doing the first Free Friday, I started with a completely blank slate. All I knew was that I wanted to help someone in the community. So I hooked up my trailer and went to the next street north of me and started looking for an opportunity.

Just a few houses down I saw Tom outside getting out of his truck, and I saw this as a great opportunity. I hopped out of my truck and informed him of my mission for the day of trying to help someone for free. He declined at first but after some more conversation and thought, he was reluctant to bring up how there were leaves and algae along his pool screen.

That was all I needed to hear, so I pulled out the ladder and hoses, and got to work. Tom is a veteran and a very cool guy, so I was happy to help him out even in such a small way.
